Welcome to Sing Australia
My hope is that one day in our beautiful country everyone, who would like to sing, will feel free to do so. They will not be worried about what others think. They will know that it is wonderful to just burst into song with the voice they have and to simply celebrate who they are, where they are and to just express the joy of life. They will know that spreading joy so freely will create a more harmonious world - a world that is more accepting of all the variety we each bring to it. They will sing to comfort themselves in times of sadness. They will sing to ease the pressures of life. They will sing because it will connect them with others.
Sing Australia is growing Australia into this type of world by being inclusive and welcoming of every voice. So many people say they can't sing but that is surely not so. They may not conform to the norms of singing but their voice can certainly comfortably join with the voices of others to create a oneness and beauty that can be called 'the voice of Australia'.
